Senior Fellow Beauty THERAPIST

Qualified from Swindon College of further Education in 1989, Alison has had a fantastic career that has seen her gain experience across the world. She started her career within a city centre salon moving on to work at a health spa to gain experience to enable her to progress on to work aboard cruise ships.

 After enjoying travelling the world she decided to return to land base and set up a business offering Beauty and Holistic Treatments within clients homes. Due to demand she had to move to a salon base to accommodate her clients and My Beauty Room was set up in 1994. It has gone from strength to strength and Alison continues to develop her skills with ongoing training year on year, one of her achievements is obtaining Expert Status from Dermalogica UK ensuring clients know that she has attended many post graduate courses for business and treatments. Since then, My Beauty Room has proudly been recognised as a Dermalogica Circle Skin Centre since 2013. 

In 2014 Alison gained Finalist status for the 'Small Business of the Year' Award for the Oxfordshire Natwest Venus Awards and her latest achievements are to have received a commendation for 'Excellence in Client Service' at the FHT 'Excellence in Practice' awards and was presented with Senior Fellowship. Alison is the first therapist in the country outside of the Governing board to be recognised with this accolade. 

In August 2019, Alison was nominated and shortlisted as a Finalist in the FHT Excellence Awards for FHT Beauty Therapist of the Year. She was announced as Runner Up at the awards ceremony in London in November. 

In 2021 Alison was once again nominated and shortlisted in the FHT Excellence Awards for Beauty Therapist of the year. She was announced as Runner Up during the Virtual Awards in November. As a Small Business owner this was amazing for Alison to have achieved this during the pandemic crisis. 

Alison continues to love and enjoy her work 30 plus years after qualifying as a Beauty Therapist, something that she realises is very special. Her passion for her profession and education is immediately recognised on meeting her. 

In September 2022 Alison relocated to Cornwall where she continues to offer all her Virtual Services to be able to pass on all her experience and knowledge to her existing loyal clients and new clients in the SW.
